Overview
What's the Challenge?
As a Senior Project Manager, you will support the growing number of projects within the Flight Segment Directorate. You will be integrated into the PMO group and expected to autonomously and proactively manage projects. Project management activities cover all associated areas, including Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Risk, and Stakeholder Management.
Responsibilities
* Manage SATELLITE projects, AOCS, and GNC projects, as well as proposals for ESA and European Commission projects.
* Oversee project management activities in areas such as Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Risk, and Stakeholder Management.
* Ensure the successful delivery of projects related to spacecraft avionics, space systems, and mission engineering.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance project performance.
* Prepare and present reports at different levels.
Qualifications
Technical skills
* Experience managing projects involving customers at different levels.
* Knowledge of financial management, technology management, and internal controls.
* Experience dealing with customers and providers.
* Familiarity with multicultural teams and international environments.
* Commercial approach and experience in project planning tools.
* Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office tools.
* Experience preparing and presenting reports at different levels.
Additional valued skills
* PMP certification is desirable.
* Knowledge of the space sector or other complex engineering environments.
* Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members in remote locations.
Educational background
* Degree in Engineering or a related field.
Professional experience
* Minimum of 5 years in Project Management (preferably in the space industry).
