In this role you will advance quantum information science and develop algorithms that leverage superconducting hardware and HPC integration to push quantum advantage. You’ll drive high-impact research, deliver production-ready software, and lead demonstrations with strategic IBM Quantum Network partners. You will translate complex quantum advances into actionable insights for researchers and enterprise developers, shaping the software and hardware roadmap. This position offers a high-visibility opportunity to bridge theory and real-world impact in a fast-evolving field.

• Coordinate with internal research units and external stakeholders to drive multi-team projects
• Maintain industry-leading knowledge of quantum computing developments to keep IBM at the cutting edge
Responsabilidades
• MSc in Physics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years hands-on experience in quantum computing and running near-term algorithms on quantum hardware
• Excellent programming xpzdshu skills in Python, Qiskit, and IBM Quantum software stack
• Deep understanding of quantum computing architecture across software, middleware, and hardware
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Project management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Experience analyzing, modeling, and tuning quantum hardware performance including transpilation, error suppression, and mitigation
• Experience in academic and/or industry research with a track record of publications
• Ability to operate at a strategic level, setting direction and translating goals into actionable plans
