Job Overview
We are looking for skilled Senior Buyers with 5+ years of buying experience in the EU to join our Barcelona office. As a Senior Buyer, you will play a critical role in sourcing high quality materials, negotiating with suppliers, working with designers, and ensuring our collections reflect the unique mash up of New York and European fashion while meeting market trends and company standards. You will collaborate closely with our design, merchandising, and production teams to deliver exceptional products to our customers. If you have the drive and understand speed, trading, and a sharp commercial eye, you will feel at home here. Experience at Inditex is strongly preferred (Zara, Bershka, Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Stradivarius, Oysho, Lefties).
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and source high quality fabrics, trims, and materials from suppliers across Europe, ensuring alignment with our brand's fusion of New York and European aesthetics and quality standards.
* Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
* Conduct market research to stay ahead of fashion trends and consumer preferences in the EU market, with an eye toward blending New York and European influences.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable and sustainable supply chains.
* Collaborate with design and merchandising teams to develop seasonal collections that embody our unique brand vision and meet market demands.
* Monitor inventory levels and work with production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
* Analyze sales data and customer feedback to inform future buying decisions.
* Ensure compliance with EU regulations and sustainability standards in all sourcing activities.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 years of buying experience in the fashion or apparel industry, preferably within the EU.
* Proven track record of negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships.
* Strong understanding of the European fashion market, trends, and consumer behavior, with an appreciation for New York's bold fashion influence.
* Excellent analytical skills and ability to make data driven decisions.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross functional teams.
* Proficiency in English; additional fluency in Spanish or other European languages is a plus.
* Ability to thrive in a fast paced, creative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Knowledge of sustainable sourcing practices and EU regulations is highly desirable.
