**Area/Department: Design and Engineering Services (D&ES;)**
The Design and Engineering Services department in Celestica Valencia is specialized in the development of new products and electronic systems for both its customers (mostly international) and the production line within the factory.
The D&ES; team is composed by more than 20 specialist engineers: electronics, software, mechanicsthat, in the end, build a multiskilled team able to carry on (almost) any kind of development projects.
The areas in which these projects are developed are mainly related with healthcare and in-vitro diagnosis, industrial, aerospace and test development.

Electronic Engineer - Power Engineer, Hardware Design
**Experience/Background**:

As an essential part of a development team, the designer will take responsibility under team-lead supervision for the hardware implementation, build and debug of new products and/or systems. From circuit capture to component/equipment selection and system verification.
Tasks to be performed will be related to electronic circuits design and analysis: specification definition at subsystem and component level, electrical diagrams, component selection, PCB Layout support/development, simulations, measurement and trials, evaluation of different design options, reference designs, and strategies etc
The designer will also drive the building of the needed prototypes for design verification and the development of the needed tools and documental routines, making use of the adequate laboratory instruments and equipment, to perform verification protocols.
She/He will participate as one of the components of the development team, contributing with her/his point of view and proposing solutions and alternatives aimed to overcome the different challenge that a development project present.
**Needed skills**
- Proven experience on Power and High Voltage electronic hardware and circuit design. Component selection criteria and knowledge on their critical parameters. Datasheet evaluation. Ability to read and compose complex electrical diagrams both digital and analog.
- Experience on power electronic circuits analysis and verification, design of experiments and acceptance test procedures. In specific, power drive electronics and converters.
- Experience with Digital and Analog Vector Control for polyphasic systems.
- Stability Analysis.
- Extensive knowledge on power electronics devices such us IGBTs, MOSFET SiC, Gate Drivers, magnetics
- Knowledge on thermal management
- Extensive knowledge on the use of design and simulation tools such as PSIM and Matlab Simulink
- Experience in the design and modeling of energy conversion topologies
- Proficiency in the use of any circuit design software Cadence Design Entry & Allegro (preferred) or Altium. Any other IDE will be considered.
- Experience in PCB layout tool is an asset.
- Experience in the collaboration with electronic part manufacturers
- Experience in the manufacturing of commercial electronic products is an asset.
- Fluent in English, both written and oral.
- Used to direct interaction with customer’s technical teams either internal or external.
