**Responsibilities**:
The Solution Engineering Operating Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational execution and continuous improvement of solution engineering teams. This role ensures that pre-sales and post-sales engineering solutions are delivered efficiently, align with customer needs, and adhere to strategic business goals. The manager will coordinate with sales, product management, R&D;, and customer support to streamline operations, improve customer satisfaction and grow Aerospace Defense business.

- Lead and manage solution engineering operations across multiple projects and regions.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to drive consistency and quality.
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to ensure operational excellence.
- ** Strategic Planning**:
- Collaborate with leadership to define the strategic direction of the solution engineering function.
- Align operational activities with business goals, focusing on scalability and efficiency.
- ** Project Oversight**:
- Oversee the execution of complex technical solutions, from proposal to delivery.
- Ensure resource allocation aligns with project priorities and deadlines.
- ** Process Improvement**:
- Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to increase team efficiency.
- Introduce tools and systems to automate and optimize engineering workflows.
- ** Cross-functional Collaboration**:
- Work closely with sales, product, and R&D; teams to align solutions with customer needs and product capabilities.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- ** Team Management**:
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of solution engineers and technical leads.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and professional development.
Qualifications:
**Required Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8-12 years of experience in solution engineering, technical consulting, or operations management.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Strong understanding of solution lifecycle management and technical project delivery.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Familiarity with enterprise software or test and measurement technologies
- Experience working in a integral/matrixed organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of CRM and ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP).
