About the Role:
The role sits within the internal Tax Team and reports to the Global Head of Tax. The successful candidate will support tax compliance, year-end reporting, and tax-related projects across the EMEA region. They will also work closely with the finance team and the business to support operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Preparing and reviewing half-year and year-end effective tax rate calculations and tax disclosures for the group.
* Managing direct tax compliance across EMEA, including review of tax returns and preparation of internal files.
* Managing VAT returns and related indirect tax compliance.
* Partnering with internal stakeholders (finance, legal, business) to support decision-making.
* Assisting the Global Head of Tax in managing regional tax risks.
* Liaising with external tax advisors.
* Conducting research on tax and regulatory requirements.
* Leading and supporting tax-related projects for the group.
* Performing other ad hoc duties as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
We are seeking a candidate with the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
* Strong knowledge of corporate income tax.
* Approximately 4–5 years of experience in corporate tax, ideally gained in Big 4 or large second-tier firms.
* Relevant professional qualification (CA, CTA, ACCA, or equivalent).
* Experience in the financial services industry is preferred but not essential.
* Exposure to tax advisory and/or compliance in other EMEA jurisdictions is preferred.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
* Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
