Uses computer knowledge to troubleshoot and program PLC'S, Allen Bradley Controllers, and MEDC Controllers.
Associates have responsibility to identify and initiate corrective action when product nonconformities are apparent.
Ability to input labor production figures into computer system.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
- Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
- Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
- Tests, discusses, and diagnoses malfunctioning machinery.
Must be able to utilize computer systems to solve malfunctions.
- Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, motors, and positioning sensing devices.
- Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
- Troubleshoots and performs some programming for Programmable Controller Machines, Allen-Bradley Controllers and MEDC Controllers.
- Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in all areas of the plant.Education and/or Experience:- Must have a Journeyman card or Master Electrician License and/or five years of experience.
On the job training is also required.
Forklift training and licensing is required for this position.Language Skills:- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to read blueprints and diagrams and on-the-job training are required.Mathematical Skills:- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Reasoning Ability:- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
