To lead and ensure the execution of the External Operation Guidelines established by Grupo Bimbo and Bimbo QSR for suppliers, co-manufacturing, storage processes, transportation, distribution, and reverse logistics.
Position Summary :
The Global External Operation Manager (EOM) will oversee the design, program & practices, implementation, monitoring, performance assessment, and continuous improvement of External Operation systems across all company-owned and influenced manufacturing facilities worldwide. The position shall set and enforce standards, align global practices with regulatory and institutional customer requirements, and promote unified standards at each level of the Supply Chain Organization.

Objective of the Position :
Establish the strategy to ensure the implementation of the GB & BQ Supplier Management Standards. Define and liaise with BQ AOW & Countries on the implementation of policies, programs, and procedures related to food quality and safety aimed at supplier management. Support markets in establishing risk assessment and testing plans for incoming raw material control. Involve in resolving global and local supplier complaints regarding quality, food safety, and regulatory issues. Support approval, development, performance metrics, and certification programs for suppliers of ingredients & packaging materials from a quality and food safety perspective. Collaborate with global & regional supply chain management teams on defining priorities for alternative supplier development, contingency planning, and fostering competition in service and cost. Coach suppliers for continuous improvement. Lead and organize food quality and safety audits for suppliers. Monitor global supplier performance and provide regular status reports. Work closely with AOWs & Countries’ External Operations, Procurement, and R&D to maintain the safety of ingredients.
Co-Manufacturing Management :
Establish the strategy to ensure the implementation of the GB & BQ co-manufacturing management standards. Develop food safety and quality programs for co-manufacturing. Support the definition of service agreements in contracts with co-manufacturers, including quality, safety, and legality rights and duties. Work with AOW and countries to establish controls on co-manufacturing performance through product qualification, audits, follow-ups, and supervision. Define KPIs for evaluation, provide feedback, and make decisions regarding co-manufacturing. Monitor progress and provide regular status reports.
Quality in Logistics, Transportation, and Reverse Logistics :
Establish strategies to ensure quality and safety standards for storage and transportation of finished products. Implement guidelines for selecting, approving, and monitoring warehouses handling materials and finished products. Support markets in establishing finished good handling procedures at distribution centers. Develop service-level agreements with transport operators, including quality and safety guidelines. Implement evaluation systems for warehouses and transport operations, including findings, action plans, feedback, and continuous improvement. Establish KPIs for evaluating quality and safety in warehouses and transports. Monitor progress and issue regular status reports.
IT Tool Management :
Ensure full implementation and maintenance of Tracegains Software at BQ. Organize ongoing user training for partners and the External Operation team.
Development & Training :
Develop and conduct training on Quality & Food Safety expectations for internal departments and partners. Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes. Facilitate global knowledge sharing and best practices. Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
Minimum Qualifications :
* Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Agriculture, Food Technology, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
* Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in supplier management, food safety & quality, including multi-site or international scope—preferably in baked goods or food manufacturing.
* Expertise in supply chain, export/import, and related regulations and standards.
Travel internationally (20–40%).
