We are looking for an Accountant to support our Finance Department in our headquarters in Madrid, Spain. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing and internationally recognized company, collaborating on accounting and administrative support tasks.
Main responsibilities
* Manage the full accounting cycle end-to-end, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
* Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
* Knowledge of intercompany operations.
* Prepare and file taxes.
* Monitor and control the financial statements of subsidiaries.
* Optimize accounting processes through automation and continuous improvement.
* Coordinate internal and external audits, acting as the main point of contact.
* Issue invoices.
* Collaborate with other departments on cross-functional tasks.
* Act as a business partner to the Finance Manager.
Requirements
* Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
* Solid experience in financial accounting, ideally in dynamic or international environments.
* Advanced knowledge of the full accounting cycle.
* Proven experience in financial closings and reporting.
* Advanced Excel skills and good command of ERP systems.
* Strong analytical skills, results-oriented mindset, and attention to detail.
* Essential: autonomy, proactivity, and strong problem-solving skills for complex issues.
* Essential: strong communication and teamwork skills within the finance team and across departments.
Nice to have
* English proficiency, given the company’s international environment.
* Good knowledge of accounting task automation tools.
