We are seeking an experienced Labor Relations Specialist with 3-5 years of relevant experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently, possess strong negotiation skills, and have experience managing labor relations and negotiations within a retail environment.
Familiarity with handling multiple collective agreements and ensuring compliance with labor laws and protocols is preferred.
Responsibilities
* Employee Committee Engagement : Act as the point of contact with employee committees, maintaining open and effective communication to address labor-related issues and concerns.
* Collective Bargaining : Lead collective bargaining processes, negotiating labor agreements and resolving disputes to maintain harmonious labor relations.
* Drafting Sanction and Dismissal Letters : Prepare sanction and dismissal letters in accordance with company policies and labor laws, ensuring clarity and fairness in all communications.
* Labor Law Analysis and Resolution : Analyze and resolve labor-related legal issues, providing expert guidance and support to management and other departments.
* Collective Agreement Analysis : Interpret and analyze collective agreements to ensure compliance with established terms and conditions.
* Legal Assessment of Labor Processes : Evaluate legal aspects of labor processes and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with labor regulations.
* Interdepartmental Process Management : Coordinate interdepartmental labor processes, ensuring smooth workflows and adherence to established procedures.
* Support for Equality Initiatives : Provide labor-related support for the company's equality plan, contributing to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
* Compliance Protocol Management : Oversee the implementation and adherence to labor compliance protocols, ensuring the company's practices align with legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources, or a related field.
* Proven experience in labor relations, including collective bargaining and legal analysis - max 5 yrs of experience
* Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
* Familiarity with equality and compliance initiatives is a plus.
