We are looking for an HSE Advisor to support a portfolio of high-voltage cable manufacturing and
installation projects, including major offshore grid developments.
In this role, you will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, construction, and marine
installation teams to ensure that Health, Safety & Environment standards are consistently applied
throughout all phases of the project. You will act as a key partner to operational teams, with a strong on-site presence across project locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HSE support across onshore manufacturing facilities, construction activities, and offshore cable installation works.
- Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and safety walks to ensure compliance with internal HSE standards and applicable legislation.
- Lead and support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective
actions.
- Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and training for project staff and subcontractors.
- Review and approve RAMS, method statements, lifting plans, environmental plans, and work
permits.
- Monitor HSE KPIs, analyse safety performance, and prepare periodic reports for project and
regional HSE management.
- Support environmental compliance, waste management, and emergency preparedness activities.
- Promote a proactive safety culture focused on engagement, hazard awareness, and continuous
improvement.
- Contribute to HSE planning for current and upcoming offshore grid and cable installation projects.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in an HSE role within the offshore industry, high-voltage cable installation, energy infrastructure, or heavy industry.
- Strong knowledge of relevant HSE legislation and international standards (such as ISO 45001 and
ISO 14001).
- Experience working within large, multi-stakeholder project environments.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence contractors and
operational teams.
- Relevant certifications such as VCA-VOL, GWO, NEBOSH/IOSH, or equivalent are preferred.
