We’re hiring for a Junior Project Accountant as part of Merkle in Barcelona.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Assisting senior project accountants with the day-to-day financial management of projects.
2. Assist in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts.
3. Track and report project expenses, including the preparation of invoices and purchase orders.
4. Monitor project financials and provide regular updates to the project management team.
5. Ensure that project expenses are within budget.
6. Collaborate with project managers to identify and resolve any financial issues.
7. Assist in the preparation of project financial reports and presentations.
8. Perform other financial tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial analysis.
4. Proficient in data analysis, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
5. Experience with project accounting and budgeting is a plus.
6. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
7. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Key Competences are communication, teamwork, initiative, and dependability.
11. Strong English language skills (written and spoken).
