Rabbit Games partners with leading studios around the world to help deliver high quality console and PC titles. We work across AAA and high-end AA projects, supporting game teams with engineering, art, design, and production expertise. Our team is fully remote, with developers based across Europe and beyond, and we are focused on building long-term partnerships and exceptional game experiences.
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior VFX Artist to join us on a major fantasy project with a visual quality target comparable to AAA standards. This role will play a key part in delivering high-quality real-time VFX and contributing to a small team of VFX artists.
Responsibilities
* Take part in the creation and implementation of high-quality real-time VFX for gameplay, environments, and cinematics
* Own VFX quality standards and ensure delivery meets AAA production benchmarks
* Guide and mentor VFX artists, providing technical and artistic direction
* Collaborate closely with art, design, engineering, and production teams to deliver cohesive visual experiences
* Design scalable, optimised VFX suitable for real-time game environments
* Support integration of VFX into Unity/Unreal pipelines and workflows
* Review and provide feedback on team output to ensure consistency and quality
* Help establish VFX workflows, pipelines, and best practices for long-term production
Requirements
* 5+ years of professional experience creating real-time VFX for games
* Proven experience working on shipped PC or console titles
* Demonstrated leadership experience, either as a Senior VFX Artist
* Strong portfolio showcasing high quality real time VFX created for game engines
* Experience working in Unreal Engine and Unity Engine.
* Strong understanding of real time VFX techniques, including particles, shaders, materials, and optimisation
* Experience working within structured production pipelines
* Ability to work independently in a remote environment
* Strong communication skills and professional working proficiency in English
Nice to Have
* Experience working with proprietary engines
* Experience working on RPG, fantasy or stylised AAA projects
* Experience building scalable VFX pipelines or workflows
* Technical scripting experience (Blueprint, shader scripting, or similar)
