developing positions, managing risk and ensuring effective coordination of all parties involved in execution of financial trades.The position requires deep knowledge and understanding of the global gas and LNG markets, including operational, technical and financial aspects and risk mitigation tools. This involves appreciation of the macro-economic fundamentals of global gas markets, intelligence on the activities of producers and users of natural gas, understanding the financing of gas trading, structuring LNG sales/purchase contractsKey Duties and Responsibilities: Identifies business opportunities and generates viable leads by maintaining an effective network of industry contacts and conducting analyses of gas market fundamentalsIdentifies, develops and manages a suite of tools and data in pricing deals which ensures profitability and optimizes risk in volatile markets, and tracks performance and reports on their implementationManages and executes trades in financial markets which enable the business to maintain portfolio equilibrium,
limit risk and manage liquidityIdentify and execute trading strategies in order to monetize the optionality in the portfolio Coordinates the involvement of expert advice (e.g. legal, risk, financial) in the analysis and development of business proposals such that value to the portfolio can be maximized and risks mitigatedProvides the company with access to markets by negotiating enabling agreements with financial institutions, exchanges, derivatives brokers and supports the finance function in obtaining adequate credit terms to tradeProvides mentoring and leadership to junior trading to maintain quality standards and to support the professional development of such staffCoordinates with MO team to calibrate and refine modelsSpecific Skills and Knowledge: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative subject (i.e. Economics, Business, Engineering,
etc)5-10 years working experience in LNG commodities financial tradingStrong network and reputation within LNG industryExcellent understanding of the LNG market, physical and derivative trading conceptsHighly numerate able to conduct complex economic and financial modellingProven decision-making ability based on creative thinking and effective analysis of data and situationsStrong analytical and negotiation skillsEntrepreneurial spirit able to build fruitful relationships with third partiesStrong Spanish preferable
