We are currently seeking aCustomer Quality Engineerto join our team at our modern manufacturing site inMartorell, Spain.
About the Martorell Plant:
OurMartorell plantis a Just-In-Time (JIT) facility strategically located in one of Spain's most important automotive regions, close to key OEM customers.
The plant specializes in the production of high-quality seating systems and operates in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
With a strong emphasis on lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, the Martorell team plays a critical role in supporting Lear's commitment to operational excellence and product quality.
Your Role:
As aCustomer Quality Engineer, you will act as a key interface between Lear and our customers, ensuring that all quality standards are met and that customer expectations are exceeded.
You will support daily quality operations and lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement within the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the main quality representative for customer-related issues and inquiries
Support manufacturing and supplier teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements
Lead root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions using industry-standard tools (8D, Ishikawa, etc.)
Participate in internal and external audits and ensure follow-up on any non-conformities
Manage quality documentation in accordance with APQP/PPAP processes
Collaborate cross-functionally to monitor and improve quality KPIs
Support new product launches and engineering changes from a quality perspective
What We're Looking For:
University degree in Engineering or a related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in theautomotive industry
Strong knowledge of quality systems and tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
Customer-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proactive, problem-solving attitude and ability to work well under pressure
Fluency inEnglish; Spanish or Catalan is a plus
