SO/ Sotogrande, a luxurious resort located in the beautiful coastal town of Sotogrande, Spain, is seeking a talented and experienced Maître to join our esteemed team. As the Maître, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fine dining restaurant, ensuring exceptional service standards, and creating memorable experiences for our discerning guests.
Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
* Greet and seat guests, ensuring a warm and professional welcome while maintaining a smooth flow of service
* Oversee table assignments, reservations, and special requests to maximize guest satisfaction and restaurant efficiency
* Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement menu changes, wine pairings, and seasonal promotions
* Monitor and maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service
* Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally
* Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
* Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance for the restaurant
* Analyze sales data and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability
* Foster a positive work environment and mentor staff to promote professional growth and teamwork
Qualifications
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within upscale restaurants or luxury hotels
* Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management
* Strong leadership abilities and experience in team management
* Fluency in English and Spanish; bilingual proficiency preferred
* Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems
* In-depth knowledge of fine dining etiquette, service standards, and current industry trends
* Familiarity with Spanish cuisine and extensive wine knowledge
* Food Safety and Hygiene certification
* Proven track record in delivering exceptional customer service and managing guest relations
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
* Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
