Posting Title: Lead Principal Auditor - Market Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk
**Details of the role and how it fits into the team**
Group Audit is seeking a Lead Principal Auditor (Lead PA) to join the Market Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk team. The team currently has presence in two different locations: London and Berlin and looking to expand its presence in Madrid. You will report directly to the Principal Audit Manager (PAM), who is based in London. As a Lead PA, aside from the typical audit delivery responsibilities, you will also be acting as a coach for more junior members of the team across locations and help drive enhanced audit coverage of Market Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk processes globally.
**Your key responsibilities**
- Responsible for lead global/complex audits or other assurance such as finding closure validation, over market and counterparty credit risk, evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls relating to risks
- Responsible for proactively developing and maintaining professional consultative working relationships with key stakeholders
- Collecting relevant information to assess key risks, resolve major issues or carry out tasks across a portfolio
- Actively contributing to the delivery of team plans in support of the functional and business strategies
**Your skills and experiences**
- Experienced market risk/counterparty credit risk auditor, with in-depth understanding on audit methodology and processes.
- Subject matter expertise relating to market and counterparty credit risk (i.e., VaR, Economic Capital, FRTB, Stress Testing and Internal Models Method), and related regulatory requirements.
- Highly motivated with the ability to multi-task, team-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Independent in judgment with the ability to challenge and be challenged whilst maintaining the highest levels of professionalism.
