In order to support the Digital Department Airbus is looking for a SAP S/4HANA Finance Project Leader (d/f/m) based in Getafe, Spain. You will be a core part of our Finance Transformation journey, leading projects and enhancements that drive efficiency and innovation. From planning and design to configuration, testing and go‑live support you will be involved in every stage of the process. Responsibilities
* Lead end‑to‑end project planning, implementation and execution of SAP Financials, focusing on General Ledger solutions and driving operational efficiency.
* Gather requirements by engaging with internal clients and stakeholders, translating business processes into clear project requirements.
* Define project scope, objectives and deliverables; create detailed plans; oversee day‑to‑day execution to ensure timely and on‑budget delivery; establish success criteria and KPIs.
* Implement solutions in P11 and on SAP Financials modules (Logistics, Sales, Central Finance).
* Develop and enhance finance solutions to improve accounting processes, performance, scalability and business value.
* Identify, analyse and resolve production issues promptly to maintain system stability and minimise business disruption while implementing preventive measures.
* Facilitate collaboration between finance, IT operations and other departments; align efforts and resolve conflicts to keep the project on track.
* Manage project budgets, timelines and resources; monitor and control financials and schedules; allocate resources efficiently; adjust plans proactively to address risks or changes.
* Assess and mitigate project risks beyond budget and timeline, including technical or compliance risks.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards; implement controls for audit readiness.
* Communicate project progress and risks to leadership; prepare and deliver regular status reports, highlight milestones, challenges and risk‑mitigation plans.
* Act as Local Proximity Manager for Spain’s ERP CoE team, overseeing local ERP initiatives, safety, wellbeing, E&C actions, facility processes and HR coordination.
Qualifications
* Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Informatics or equivalent practical experience.
* Minimum 10 years of hands‑on experience in SAP Financials, with a proven record of successful implementations.
* Strong project‑management skills in SAP Finance, with a solid understanding of project‑lifecycle methodologies and delivery of projects on time and within scope.
* Proactive, results‑oriented team player with a can‑do attitude, comfortable collaborating with international teams and diverse stakeholders.
* Experience with Central Finance is an asset.
* Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (written and verbal); ability to articulate ideas, challenge assumptions and influence business and technical audiences.
* Proficiency in French and/or German is a plus.
