Business Development Sales Executive
Our client is a rapidly scaling software company transforming the retail sector through innovative technology solutions. Our platform helps retailers optimize operations, enhance customer experiences, and drive revenue growth. With a strong presence in multiple markets and ambitious expansion plans, we are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join their team. The role will be based in Barcelona and working on a national level across Spain.
Role Overview As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and closing deals with retail clients. You will be responsible for building a strong sales pipeline, developing strategic relationships, and contributing directly to revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities Identify, target, and engage prospective clients within the retail sector Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, and partnerships Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads Conduct product presentations and tailor solutions to client needs Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize revenue Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine value propositions Track and report on sales performance, pipeline activity, and forecasts Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity
Requirements 2–5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role (preferably in SaaS or retail tech) Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Experience managing the full sales cycle Self-starter with a proactive and results-driven mindset Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Native-level of Spanish is strongly preferred, Catalan is a strong plus and fluency in English is required. Based in or willing to relocate to Barcelona
