Overview
We're seeking a talented individual to join our Sales team at Mercer for an internship focused on kickstarting your professional development in consulting, generating and developing new business from the ground up. This position is located in Madrid and offers a pathway to a stable role with strong career progression.
If you are finishing or have recently completed your studies and are motivated to build a career in HR and financial consulting sales, this role provides an excellent opportunity to grow within a world‐leading professional services firm, working with top professionals.
Initially, your main role will be through business intelligence to identify potential clients and generate an initial conversation, supported throughout by a consulting specialist. This will help you learn and apply different business methodologies for researching relevant information about target companies and for initiating those first conversations. Over the medium to long term, you will gain deep market knowledge and learn the best tools to identify, monitor and win complex consulting projects.

Responsibilities
Business intelligence : identify new target companies
Generate first meetings and prepare for them
Attend meetings and identify opportunities with a senior consultant
Monitor and close opportunities with a senior consultant
Follow up on events
Participate in commercial actions
Lead follow-up and lead management
What you need to have
Studies : ADE, Economics, Law, Marketing, Commercial, Sales, Psychology, etc.
Studies completed or near completion (final year with few subjects, capstone project, or master / postgraduate)
Good level of English
Office tools proficiency (MS Office)
Relevant experience in sales, business development or sales in sectors such as insurance or services is a plus
