What is the purpose of this role?
* Drive the business line in all responsible areas to unleash its full potential
* Manage and develop assigned categories of the B&PC Business Line and its product offering with upline support to ensure optimal business performance within the portfolio mix and growth objectives in Europe
* Responsible and accountable for all business and strategic aspects of the assigned category
* Brand champion for Europe and strategic liaison to Regional Marketing Team in all areas of the portfolio offering –active member of regional marketing category teams
* Direct support to the Manager Portfolio Europe on all relevant business topics
* Support bigger markets in Europe / S.A. with additional local promotions targeted to individual and seasonal marketneeds in cooperation with the upline
What you’ll do :
* Responsible for growth and profitability of the assigned brand category
* Responsible for brand building and consistent brand messaging in Europe for assigned categories within businessline
* Monitoring and analysis of brand financials, using findings to actively steer brand business plans
* Develop and implement short-term and long-term marketing strategies for the assigned categories for the European region, including launch and discontinuance decisions as well as development of compelling marketing campaigns for hero products and key launches
* Together with upline, evaluate, define and drive new product ideas as input to the Regional Brand Team
* Work with European counterparts as well as our Regional to successfully develop and implement all strategies and actions for the relevant categories
* Management of brand budgets
* Monitoring and analysis of market and industry trends
* Close cooperation with communication department, including development of briefings for creative agencies
* Initiate and use market research to understand consumer and distributor needs and to make winning marketing decisions
* Provide guidance and development to staff members of the same product category
* Preparation of information materials and decision papers for internal management meetings and for our businesspartners
* Work with Promotion lead and other business lines on opportunities for promotional activities either and in itemselection to push promotion
What you’ll need :
* Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Marketing, Management), MBA welcome
* Minimum of 5 years FMCG or OTC experience in brand and product management for a multi-national company
* Brand experience with Beauty products is an advantage
* Experience with promotional activity is an advantage
* Languages : Fluent in written and spoken English and any additional European languages preferred
* Experience with market research projects and external agencies
* A team player, experienced in working with international and cross-functional teams
* Experience in working in an international environment
* Sound business acumen required, specifically financial skills
* Experience in coaching and staff development
* Proven leadership skills
* Excellent communication and persuasion skills
* Understanding and good use of PowerPoint, Excel and Word
* Self-reliant, proactive and highly motivated
* Able to work under pressure and with deadlines
* Ability to travel
