Job purpose
We’re expanding our Data department and looking for a Senior Data Engineer to take our data platform to the next level. You’ll be a driving force behind the design, scalability, and reliability of our data systems — turning raw information into actionable insights that empower teams across the company.
Your mission? To build and evolve a robust, efficient, and future-ready data ecosystem that helps Stayforlong grow smarter every day.
What You Will Do
Maintain and evolve our real-time data architecture to ensure scalability and high performance.
Improve and optimize existing ETLs and the infrastructure behind them to guarantee data quality and reliability.
Design and implement data-driven processes that empower other teams to make informed, impactful decisions.
Model and transform complex datasets into clean, usable structures for analytics and business intelligence.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, analysts, and product teams to identify growth opportunities through data.
Contribute to the evolution of our data engineering best practices, helping to set the standard for technical excellence within the team.
What You Will Bring
Degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or similar).
4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer (or similar) working with large-scale data systems.
Strong programming skills in Python and/or Go.
Solid experience with SQL — you understand query optimization and scalability inside out.
Proven experience designing and building data architectures that support analytical and operational use cases.
Hands-on experience with real-time data processing (e.G., Kafka, Pub/Sub, Kinesis, etc.).
Nice to Have
Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow
Containerization experience with Docker
Familiarity with modern data transformation tools such as dbt
Comfort using AI-powered coding assistants and other applied AI tools
