For our busy Delivery Stations, we’re seeking an organized Delivery Station Manager to make their mark. These fast‑moving facilities sit at the heart of Amazon’s growing operations network and manage our last‑mile operation. In each delivery, our teams receive, sort, stow and ship orders to the customer.
In the Delivery Station you join, you will coordinate and oversee a crucial environment. You will strategically lead a team comprising of Shift Managers and Shift Assistants, and proactively manage healthy, positive working relationships.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Part of the Amazon Logistics Team, you will be responsible for day‑to‑day delivery station management, overseeing operations that focus on the delivery of Amazon orders directly to customers.
Leading a team of Process Assistants and Delivery Service Providers in daily delivery station management, including meetings, training sessions, assigning job duties and communicating with FLEX drivers.
You are responsible for ensuring a safe workplace, properly trained people, and that their needs are addressed so they can focus on their jobs.
Other key responsibilities:
* Lead change at speed; innovation has made us the global company we are today.
* Help in daily operations: receive, scan, lift and move shipments up to 22.5 kg each.
* Route shipments within the AMZL coverage area.
* Support and assign job duties to process assistants.
* Adapt to sudden changes and growth according to operational necessities.
* Track & monitor sorting operation and dispatch.
Key Job Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll work with key business partners such as Transport & Sortation, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, ACES, and Engineering. You will track and drive both the operational goals and metrics of your Delivery Station while regularly presenting findings to senior leadership.
A Day in the Life
Main activities include:
* Review operational forecast and determine productivity requirements for the delivery station.
* Manage a team to meet all building's goals.
* Support all safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all associates and delivery service providers.
* Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
Basic Qualifications
* 1+ year of employee and performance management experience
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
* Work a flexible schedule/shift/area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
* Can push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts
Preferred Qualifications
* 1+ year of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
