The Senior Medical Excellence Reviewer is a key member of the Medical Review Excellence (MRE) Group, partnering with in-country Medical Affairs and Marketing teams. The role involves medical and regulatory review to minimize compliance risks by ensuring the approval of promotional and non-promotional materials, as well as Medical to Medical content, in accordance with country laws, regulations, and industry codes. This position also requires acting as a thought leader and process partner, leveraging best practices to identify improvements and drive value for medical colleagues.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Oversight:
* Serve as Subject Matter Expert and single point of contact for Medical Review Excellence.
* Identify opportunities for service and operational improvements aligned with business priorities.
* Analyze in-country metrics on MRE utilization and performance, providing strategic recommendations.
* Collaborate with CMAO categories and country partners to engage stakeholders.
* Lead process documentation and improvement initiatives.
* Support compliant content creation through consultation with Marketing and Medical leads.
1. Stakeholder Management:
* Engage with Medical and Marketing teams for promotional and Medical-to-Medical materials.
* Maintain constructive relationships with leadership and stakeholders.
* Coordinate communication across departments for streamlined workflows.
2. Technical:
* Act as super-user and change leader for the electronic approval system.
* Perform independent fact-checking, scientific review, and approval of materials.
* Provide feedback to ensure compliance and appropriate messaging.
* Maintain knowledge of Pfizer medicines, competitors, and guidelines.
* Stay updated on regulations, policies, and guidance.
* Organize training on regulatory and promotional requirements.
* Handle complaints related to promotional materials.
* Support inspections and audits.
* Implement and transition transformative initiatives.
* Develop processes to increase efficiency and add value.
* Support innovation within the CMAO platform.
* Ensure compliance during congresses.
Your Profile:
* Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Life Sciences.
* Experience in medical review within pharma, biotech, agency, or CRO.
* Experience in medical content creation and regulatory review.
* Ability to collaborate globally and manage timelines.
* Strong analytical skills and knowledge of statistical principles.
* High fluency in English.
* Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of promotional compliance, local regulations, and global guidelines (ICH, EFPIA, EMA, AEMPS).
