Job Description
What you’ll do
We are looking for an experienced Beverage Director to join the pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Director of Food & Beverage, the Beverage Director directs the operations of all the Food & Beverage outlets within the hotel. The Beverage Director ensures the hotel service aligns with the SLS brand by fostering a team culture where members feel empowered to make decisions and take responsibility for their workload and professional development.
* Manage beverage control including inventory, bar pars, costs controls, beverage potentials, sales analysis for beverages, issue & returns.
* Negotiate with suppliers and implement brand contracts.
* Manage national and international events related to beverages and mixology.
* Implement agreed-upon beverage policies and procedures throughout the property.
* Train outlet teams on liquor control policies and procedures.
* Monitor adherence to all liquor control policies and procedures.
* Ensure service and other standards according to SOPs are followed.
* Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages to meet set standards.
* Ensure regular communication occurs in all restaurants and bars.
* Maintain high quality and effective presentation of beverage products.
* Support the Director of Food and Beverage in administrative tasks, including reports and strategic planning.
* Facilitate new hire integration through orientation and training programs.
* Focus approximately 60% of work on operational management.
Qualifications
What we are looking for...
* Degree in Hospitality or Bars Management.
* At least 4 years of management experience in high-volume beverage operations within hotels or bars.
* Knowledge of the local market is a plus.
Proven leadership skills, high energy, and motivation with a track record of living the company's values. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and pay high attention to detail. Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
