A highly acquisitive international software group is hiring a German-speaking Integration Manager to lead post-deal integration across a growing European portfolio. This is a permanent or long-term contract position, based anywhere in Europe (preference for UK or Germany), with regular travel across the region.
The role
You will sit at the heart of our M&A activity, ensuring newly acquired software businesses are successfully integrated and positioned for long-term growth. Working closely with the deal team and functional leaders, you will translate deal rationale and synergy cases into clear, actionable integration plans and drive their execution.
Key responsibilities
* Develop and manage integration plans (Day 1, first 100 days and beyond) across functions including product, technology, finance, HR, operations, and go-to-market.
* Coordinate cross-functional workstreams, track progress, manage risks and interdependencies, and escalate issues where needed.
* Partner with acquired management teams to align on priorities, ways of working and cultural integration.
* Track synergies, one-off costs, KPIs and value-creation initiatives, preparing clear updates for senior leadership.
* Support pre-deal activity where relevant (e.g. operating model input, integration feasibility, early planning).
* Capture lessons learned and help refine integration playbooks, tools and best practices across the group.
Candidate profile
* You are an experienced integration or transformation professional who enjoys working across teams, structuring complexity, and making change happen in real businesses.
* Fluent German and English – this is essential.
* Based anywhere in Europe, with preference for candidates in the UK or Germany, and able to travel regularly.
* Strong experience in post-merger integration, large-scale transformation, or complex multi-workstream projects. This may be from:
* In-house integration / corporate development / strategy roles, or
* Management consulting / transaction advisory with significant integration exposure.
* Background in software or technology-enabled businesses is a strong plus, but not strictly required.
* Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders, drive alignment, and hold teams to account against plans.
* Structured, analytical and comfortable with data, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Hands-on, pragmatic mindset – happy to move between high-level planning and detailed execution.
