At Sener Energía, we aim to incorporate a Geólogo/a into our team at our Bilbao or Madrid office.
We focus on engineering towards sustainability for industry and society. Our projects are geared towards achieving maximum efficiency in the transition to a sustainable energy model through innovation and technology.
We handle the conception, development, and construction of energy plants and their components, covering technologies from conventional cycles like combined cycles and biomass to renewable and future technologies such as offshore wind, green hydrogen, manageability, circular economy, and sustainability.
Responsibilities include:
* Planning and monitoring geotechnical campaigns.
* Identifying and characterizing geotechnical units.
* Designing excavation slopes and sheet pile solutions.
* Assessing material utilization.
* Designing shallow and deep foundations, including calculations of admissible load, settlement, and ballast coefficient.
* Evaluating and designing ground treatments for settlement control and bearing capacity improvement.
* Understanding dynamic soil behavior due to seismic activity and vibrating machinery, aimed at soil characterization and foundation design.
* Monitoring construction projects, including control analysis and monitoring for geotechnical evaluation of the terrain and foundation solutions.
Qualifications we expect:
* Bachelor's degree in Geology.
* Experience with software such as GeoSlope/SLIDE or similar, PLAXIS2D, PLAXIS3D, LPile or similar, and/or Mat3D is valued.
* High proficiency in written and spoken English (B2 level).
* Good organizational skills and task management.
