Position Overview

We are seeking an accomplished and detail-oriented Finance Team Lead with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation to lead our finance department. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, and a proven track record in financial management. As the Finance Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the finance team, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and contributing to strategic decision-making.
Position Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
* Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within the finance team.
* Allocate responsibilities and set clear objectives to ensure the team's success.
* Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
* Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
* Provide insights into financial performance and trends to senior management.
* Lead the development and monitoring of budgets in collaboration with department heads.
* Oversee the preparation of financial forecasts, identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
* Work closely with business units to ensure alignment between financial goals and organizational objectives.
* Ensure compliance with accounting regulations, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
* Manage the coordination of internal and external audits, addressing audit findings and implementing recommendations.
* Continuously assess and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.
* Evaluate and recommend enhancements to financial systems and tools.
* Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant financial information and support organizational initiatives.
* Serve as a key liaison between the finance team and other business units.
Candidate Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
* 5+ years' experience in a leadership role within a finance team.
* Strong proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Physical Requirements
This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset.
