What is my mission?
As Site & Operations Manager, your mission will be to lead all operational aspects of the facility. You will be responsible for health & safety compliance, personnel and contractor management, production efficiency, quality assurance, site maintenance, and regulatory adherence. You will also play a key role in supporting the scaling of the operation, introducing new processes, and ensuring alignment with the company’s commercial and environmental objectives.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Manage day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.Lead and supervise on-site teams, including technicians, and contractors.Monitor and improve operational performance metrics.Oversee maintenance programs to ensure equipment uptime and reliability.Ensure compliance with environmental, health & safety, and local regulatory requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Science, and Management.Implement continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives across operations.Prepare and manage operational budgets and forecasts.Serve as a key point of contact for inspections, audits, and stakeholder visits.Support future site expansion, scale-up of processes, and capital projects.Record waste, manage, report, everything on the site
We’re looking for someone who:
5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or site management.Proven leadership experience in managing operational teams.Strong understanding of H&S standards and regulatory frameworks.Experience with lean manufacturing, process optimization, or continuous improvement.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and engage external partnersFlexible and adaptable, capable of working both independently and collaboratively to achieve goalsHighly motivated, proactive, and passionate about building an outstanding workplace cultureDeeply committed to sustainability and climate action, with a strong alignment to XFuel’s missionThrives in fast-paced, evolving environments, ideally with experience in early-stage startupsA self-starter with a problem-solving mindset, always looking for ways to improve and innovateIs eligible to work and live in the EU
