Senior Data Software Engineer (AWS/Databricks/PySpark)
EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Data Software Engineer with hands-on experience in Databricks or similar ETL tools. This role involves migrating data product pipelines from Oracle workloads to Databricks, working in Madrid, Málaga, or remotely across Spain. You will join a dynamic, agile team servicing Fortune 1000 clients and adhere to best engineering practices. Fluency in English (B2+/C1) with strong communication skills is required.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, monitor, and operate data pipelines
Integrate high-quality datasets for analytical use-cases
Enable other data teams to follow client standards
Testing (planning and execution)
Maintenance of existing data pipelines including alerting and bug fixing
Qualifications
3+ years hands-on experience in Databricks or similar ETL Tools
Strong understanding of Apache Spark, PySpark, and Python
Proven expertise in AWS Glue and Amazon S3 for data storage and processing
Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines for version control and continuous integration
Proficiency in MicroStrategy or similar analytical tools for data visualization and reporting
Nice to have
Advanced Databricks features like Delta, cluster configuration, or MLflow
Experience integrating sources like Websites, Exasol, REST APIs, SAP, BigQuery, Google Sheets, Salesforce, Jedox, and more
