As a Database Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative database solutions that support our organization's strategic goals. You will play a key role in defining and driving the database strategy, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities
* Database Strategy:
o Develop and articulate a long‐term database strategy that aligns with the organization's business objectives and technology roadmap.
o Evaluate and recommend database technologies, platforms, and architectures to meet evolving business needs.
o Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective database solutions.
* Database Design and Architecture:
o Design and implement complex database architectures, including mission‐critical OLTP systems and any other models the data platform requires.
o Develop data models, schemas, and normalization rules to ensure data integrity, consistency, and efficiency.
o Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and performance monitoring.
o Design software automation routines for the Database Engineers to follow and build upon.
* Data Governance:
o Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards to protect data quality and integrity.
o Develop data classification and retention strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
o Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access.
* Project Management:
o Together with the Database Engineering Team Manager you will lead and manage database‐related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.
o Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to ensure successful integration of database solutions.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* 8+ years of experience in DBA work, database architecture and design.
* Proven track record of leading complex database projects and initiatives.
* Deep understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, including data modeling, normalization, and performance optimization.
* Experience with cloud‐based database platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Experience with data platforms for both Microsoft (SQL Server) and Open Source technologies (Postgres and MySQL).
Desired Skills
* Experience with the latest infrastructural technologies for optimal performance.
* Experience with data virtualization and integration technologies.
* Experience with automation scripting and best practices (Ansible, Terraform and PowerShell).
* Certification in relevant database technologies.
