Morgan Philips is partnering with a high-growth, international organization to appoint an IT Procurement Lead to lead and elevate its strategic sourcing function across Europe. This is a high-impact role reporting into the CFO, combining hands‑on deal leadership, procurement transformation, and team development.
The Opportunity
This position offers a unique blend of execution and transformation. You will be directly involved in the most critical negotiations while shaping a scalable, best‑in‑class procurement function.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Deal Leadership
* Lead complex, high‑value negotiations across technology spend categories (SaaS, cloud, IT services)
* Own end‑to‑end sourcing processes: from scoping and RFx to negotiation and contract execution
* Drive a strong pipeline of value creation initiatives with measurable impact
* Act as escalation point for strategic supplier discussions and contract risk
Procurement Transformation
* Design and implement a scalable procurement operating model
* Lead the deployment and adoption of procurement tools and systems
* Establish category strategies, sourcing frameworks, and supplier standards
* Enhance spend visibility, reporting, and performance tracking
* Partner cross‑functionally (Finance, Legal, IT) to streamline processes and drive adoption
Team Leadership & Development
* Lead and mentor a team of category managers
* Elevate negotiation capability and overall delivery standards
* Set clear objectives, development plans, and performance expectations
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
Your Profile
* 8–12 years of experience in procurement, ideally within tech‑driven or international environments
* Proven track record in hands‑on negotiation and execution of complex deals
* Experience delivering procurement transformation initiatives (process, systems, or operating model)
* Strong leadership experience, with a passion for developing talent
* Deep exposure to technology categories (software, cloud, IT infrastructure)
* Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into business decisions
* Familiarity with modern procurement platforms (Coupa, Ariba, Zip or similar)
* Fluent in English
