BME Spain, a leader in the distribution of building materials also incorporating manufacturing and installation subsidiaries, generates over 200 million in annual revenue and is headquartered in LHospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona). Responsibilities
* Lead the pricing strategy and execution at a national level, ensuring consistency between channels, geographic areas and product categories.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, procurement, finance, operations) to maximize margins, optimize pricing processes and ensure competitiveness.
* Make pricing decisions to support commercial development and profitability control of the company.
* Report to the Sales Director and manage pricing activities as described below.
* Define and implement pricing strategy aligned with the company’s commercial and financial objectives.
* Establish positioning by product category, customer segment and geographic area.
* Harmonize pricing policies across units, geographies and sales channels.
* Adjust pricing strategy in response to competition, customer behavior changes and macroeconomic variables (inflation, exchange rate, etc.).
* Build and maintain a reliable, automated pricing structure with minimal manual interventions.
* Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of pricing policies, including promotions and discounts.
* Produce pricing KPI reports for BME Head Office and work with the Group Pricing team on action plans to achieve desired outcomes.
* Generate reports on price and margin evolution and on compliance levels across the commercial organization, including proposals to support decision making.
* Automate pricing processes and configure analysis and visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, ERP).
* Train and educate the sales teams, acting as a trusted partner to develop better pricing strategies and implement effective routines.
* Identify situations indicating a lack of understanding or commitment to pricing objectives and implement improvement actions.
* Advise the commercial team with analysis of key clients and contracts.
* Be an active member of the BME pricing community, sharing best practices and promoting continuous improvement.
Requirements
* University degree (preferably in Economics, Engineering, Business Administration or similar).
* Postgraduate training in related areas (Pricing, Finance, Strategy) is an asset.
* More than 3 years of experience in pricing, revenue management and/or commercial analysis, preferably in B2B distribution companies.
* Knowledge of construction materials is an asset.
* Fluent English level (mandatory).
* Advanced knowledge of analytical tools: Excel, Power BI and experience with ERPs (such as BC Microsoft ERP).
* Experience in cross-functional project management and collaborative environments.
* Based in Barcelona or available to work on-site.
