Senior Business Development Manager
to join our Sales team. This role is key to driving sustainable growth by expanding existing business and developing new opportunities across international markets.
The ideal candidate combines a strong commercial mindset with creativity and strategic thinking, and is able to build long‑term relationships with clients while navigating complex stakeholder environments. You will play a critical role in strengthening our presence in markets where we currently operate and identifying new growth opportunities where our footprint is limited.
This position requires a high level of ownership, resilience, and a hands‑on attitude, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across internal teams such as Portfolio, Quality, Legal, Regulatory, and Commercial functions. A strong connection with the Polpharma ecosystem and understanding of industrial pharmaceutical business models will be highly valued.
Responsibilities
Drive business growth by developing existing accounts and identifying new clients in target markets
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and co‑development projects
Lead commercial negotiations, bringing creativity and flexibility to reach win‑win agreements
Build and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with clients and key stakeholders
Define and execute commercial strategies aligned with global business objectives
Work closely with internal stakeholders (Portfolio, Quality, Legal, Regulatory, Commercial teams) to ensure alignment and feasibility of proposals
Analyze market trends, pricing, regulatory landscapes, and competitive positioning
Contribute to business planning, including budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans
Represent the company in international meetings, events, and client interactions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology or similar) or Business‑related field
At least 5–8 years of xpzdshu experience in Business Development or a similar commercial role
Mandatory: Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a B2B environment
Proven track record in managing client relationships and driving business growth
Strong negotiation skills, with a creative and solution‑oriented approach
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
High level of proactivity, ownership, and hands‑on attitude
Strong teamwork orientation and collaborative mindset
Ability to work in an international and cross‑functional environment
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Availability to travel internationally
