Key Accountabilities
* Ensure safe workplaces and processes to integrate current regulations into working areas and business, and provide support to the HS Manager.
* Implement a program to encourage behavioural culture change, Health & Safety and Wellbeing strategy, and corporate guidelines.
* Implement and maintain an HS management system like ISO 45001. Promote worker health according to Werfen's policies, while planning and conducting internal and legal audits.
* Offer expert advice on health and safety issues to all stakeholders, particularly those concerning your specific area of responsibility.
* Implement and review Werfen's HS policies to ensure compliance with local and Portuguese legislative requirements and provide all employees with relevant training and information based on their risk exposure.
* Measure key issues that contribute to achieving intended results. Manage performance, leading, and lagging indicators in the health and safety and wellbeing designated area.
* Implement risk prevention and specific training plans and ensure their completion.
* Investigate injury and illness cases, evaluate preventive measures and incident investigation procedures. Monitor and report absenteeism and workplace accidents, propose improvements, and track the implementation of these measures.
* Prepare proposals and conduct cost analysis for corrective actions resulting from incidents identified in the health and safety domain.
Networking / Key relationships
This position requires cooperation with all involved in the organization’s processes as well as external prevention services (SPA) and mutual insurance providers, at different levels, to establish, maintain, and improve occupational health and safety and ensure compliance throughout the organization.
Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position :
* University Degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Prevention and Integral Safety and Security or upper cycle of Occupational Risk Prevention.
* Additional Knowledge :
* ISO 45001.
* Occupational Risk Prevention Audits and System Course.
* Microsoft Office 365, Copilot, and GSST software (Sabentis).
* Management of CAE documentation on different market platforms.
* Languages: Spanish, Catalan, and English. Portuguese is valuable.
* Experience :
Extensive experience in health and safety, particularly valued within the hospital or SPA sector as a Technician in Labour Risk Prevention.
