Overview

We’re seeking an experienced SEM Specialist to join our Marketing Liligo team in Barcelona. In this role you will manage and optimise Liligo’s paid search and metasearch campaigns in a fast‑moving, data‑driven environment. This is a high‑impact position for an analytical thinker with a proven track record in managing large‑scale, international PPC accounts, particularly within the travel or e‑commerce sector.


Responsibilities

* Develop, implement, and manage PPC strategies across Google Ads and Bing Ads for multiple international markets, focusing on flight, train, and car rental verticals.
* Own and manage a 7‑figure SEM budget, ensuring optimal allocation and maximum return on ad spend (ROAS).
* Conduct continuous A/B testing, keyword research, ad‑copy optimisation, and landing‑page improvements to drive campaign efficiency and scale.
* Monitor, analyse, and report campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
* Utilise advanced SEM tools and internal data‑analysis systems to automate and optimise campaigns.
* Collaborate closely with Data Science, Product, and Content teams to align SEM strategy with overall business goals.
* Stay up‑to‑date with the latest SEM trends, algorithm changes, and competitor strategies.
* Drive the adoption of Performance Max and other automated campaign types, and identify opportunities for automation using Google Ads Scripts and internal data systems.
* Integrate approved Generative AI tools into daily workflows, ensuring compliance with group AI policies.


Qualifications

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
* 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in Search Engine Marketing, ideally within the travel industry, e‑commerce, or a high‑volume agency environment.
* Expert‑level knowledge of Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising (Bing).
* High proficiency in web analytics and reporting tools such as Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
* Experience building advanced relational data models and cross‑channel BI reports with Power BI or Tableau.
* Strong ability to manipulate and interpret large datasets in Excel or Google Sheets.
* Experience with Google Ads Scripts, automated bidding strategies, and feed‑based campaigns.
* Solid understanding of tracking implementations, including Google Tag Manager, conversion pixels, and server‑side tracking.
* Proven experience designing and executing A/B tests for ad copy, landing pages, and bidding strategies to maximise ROAS.
* Proficiency in English (mandatory), fluency in French highly valued; knowledge of other European languages is a major asset.
* Understanding of the travel metasearch ecosystem and how SEM interacts with price‑comparison models.
* Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, “test‑and‑learn” environment where market trends change daily.
* Strategic thinking, translating complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders across Product, SEO, and Finance.

* Demonstrated comfort using practical AI tools such as Gemini or other AI‑powered assistants.
* Curiosity and eagerness to experiment with emerging AI‑driven solutions.
* Ability to leverage AI tools to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
* Adaptability and learning agility, staying up‑to‑date with new AI features and capabilities.
