As our new Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting activities related to taxes, compliance, accounting, and audits for Spain and Portugal.
You will be actively involved in creating and managing a tax calendar to ensure statutory deadlines are met while coordinating all tax activities with KPMG.
This exciting role includes attending to tax-related audits and requests, as well as developing and documenting internal controls related to taxes. Additionally, you will prepare statistical declarations for government institutions, support e-invoicing processes, and contribute to various tax projects within the region.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinating external and internal audits
* Assisting with research and planning related to indirect tax issues
* Supporting finance projects
* Preparing statutory financial reports
* Managing relationships with banks
* Reviewing and approving internal controls
* Coordinating with Global Business Services for accounting requests
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in finance/business or equivalent proven experience
* Experience in similar positions
* Advanced skills in Excel
* Proficient in ERP systems
* Master’s in Taxes would be an advantage
* Great communication skills in English and Portuguese; Spanish would be a plus
