Technical support manager

The mission is to lead the Technical Support team to resolve technical problems quickly, either through efficient transmission of technical information and training between the Product Company and Operations / Distribution, or through active face-to-face participation of Field Technical staff.

Your role

Main responsibilities :

* Follow up on the execution of ECB Priority I and II documents by field operations, ensuring timely and proper implementation.
* Apply cost control processes within the Atlas Copco Group to prevent damages, losses, or undesirable outcomes.
* Handle reports to monitor equipment quality.
* Work with the Operations Manager to establish criteria for qualifying and evaluating Atlas Copco field technicians.
* Coordinate tasks such as commissioning, complex installations, technical reports, customer complaints, warranties, and internal support to technical and sales teams.
* Create tools or processes with Service Operations to improve field technician efficiency.
* Monitor issues and queries from the indirect channel (distribution) with the technical support team.
* Lead by example, develop and train team members, fostering professional growth and team spirit, while ensuring equality, transparency, and fairness.
* Promote personal development of team members according to Atlas Copco Group’s needs.
* Support training and information sharing on external equipment the company plans to commercialize, within the limits of available information and know-how.
* Participate in technical training with the Technical Training Coordinator to ensure field operation and distribution teams are self-sufficient in handling equipment in the market.

Requirements :

* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
* 5+ years of experience in technical support, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (desirable)
* Knowledge of the compressor sector is highly valuable.
* Strong technical background with troubleshooting skills
* Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
* Proven ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
* Customer-focused mindset with a passion for service
* Fluent in English and Spanish

Job location

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work with on-site presence at our main office in Coslada (Madrid).
