- 10+ years experience in shopping center leasing or rental retail units and 5+ years experience in managerial position, ideally working at international organisations.
- Previous successful track record in implementing long-term strategic plans and building strategic long-term partnership in retail business in a change environment through networking.
- Proven track record in leading & developing teams through coaching and mentoring in a change environment.
- Previous successful experience of working in multicultural environment with the remote teams.
**What you'll be doing day to day**As a Lease Category Manager at Ingka Centres your role is to achieve long term category and key account development as well as sustainable and maximised revenues based on the offer defined for each Meeting Place aligned with customer and market needs. You identify trends within an assigned category among a dynamic spectrum (daily needs, discretionary items, inspirational or social & aspirational) and interpret them into the context of our Meeting Places. Your ability to see ahead has a big impact on how these categories grow and you actively share these insights with key stakeholders, including Meeting Places and the Commercial & Digital Domain. Leading a category development and acting as a matrix to the market lease teams, you make certain they preserve crucial business insights and incorporate the latest trends into business planning and negotiations. Your leadership also involves nurturing collaborative and lasting partnerships with key partners in various categories, enhancing their visibility within Meeting Places and boosting their commercial success. You expertly manage the accounts of relevant partners, ensuring a harmonized approach to leasing strategies and alignment with the overall global leasing direction. Your responsibilities extend to securing the achievement of established goals for Rental Income within the assigned Category. Collaborating with other managers in Sales & Leasing, you seek innovative solutions, contributing to permanent improvements in our ways of working. Together with the Expansion and Development team, you bring your leasing expertise to new and redevelopment projects, ensuring a seamless integration of Category and Key Account strategies. Simultaneously, you foster close cooperation with IKEA Retail, actively promoting the exchange of information and market knowledge, thereby strengthening our collective impact in the dynamic retail landscape.Additionally, you will:
- Lead key account negotiations and interactions on the global level, supporting and steering the execution of those negotiations at Market and Meeting Place level.
- Actively cooperate and communicate with Markets on defining key account management developments and intended portfolio deals, taking part of the approval process.
- Closely cooperate with Commercial & Digital Domain to trigger new potential partnership and / or initiatives within the category, potentially involving existing or new partners.
- Secure Category input on integral level towards other areas of Ingka Centres.
- This role will be based in Madrid (Spain) or Malmo (Sweden) and will report to the Global Sales & Leasing Manager.
