About the Role
We are looking for a Project Manager with proven experience delivering complex software-driven projects within life sciences R&D environments.
This role requires a delivery-first mindset, where end-to-end ownership, execution rigor, and stakeholder alignment are critical. You will operate within structured Agile frameworks and governance-heavy programs, acting as the bridge between scientific, engineering, and business teams.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience managing Agile software delivery, a strong understanding of SDLC, and the ability to drive outcomes in complex, cross-functional environments.
What You'll Do
* Own end-to-end project delivery, from planning and scoping through execution and successful handover.
* Lead delivery within Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban), including sprint planning, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives.
* Drive execution and accountability, ensuring timelines, dependencies, risks, and blockers are actively managed and resolved.
* Act as the primary point of alignment across stakeholders, including engineering, data, and scientific teams.
* Operate within structured governance models (e.G., PDLC, Shiproom), ensuring compliance with delivery standards and reporting requirements.
* Manage and optimize delivery tooling such as Jira and Confluence, including backlog ownership, metrics tracking, and reporting.
* Translate complex scientific or technical requirements into clear, actionable delivery plans for engineering teams.
* Coordinate with external vendors and partners (e.G., CROs), ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, and deliverables.
* Provide clear, structured reporting to senior stakeholders, including program leadership and executive audiences.
* Drive continuous improvement in delivery practices, processes, and team performance.
What You Bring
* Proven experience (5+ years) in project management within software delivery environments.
* Strong hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
* Demonstrated ability to lead Agile teams and run sprint ceremonies in collaboration with engineering teams.
* Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects in structured or enterprise environments.
* Strong ownership mindset with a clear focus on driving delivery outcomes (not just coordination).
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
* Experience with Jira, Confluence, and delivery metrics/reporting.
* Ability to translate between scientific context and engineering execution.
* Strong problem-solving skills and proactive risk management approach.
Nice to Have
* Background in life sciences (e.G., biology, chemistry, computational biology).
* Experience in AI-driven drug discovery, structural biology, or R&D platforms.
* Familiarity with regulated environments and international R&D collaboration.
* Experience working in multi-vendor or large-scale enterprise programs.
* Certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or similar.
