Key Responsibilities: The AgentForce Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining intelligent agent capabilities that leverage structured and unstructured data, advanced language models, and secure, compliant data handling practices. This role demands deep technical expertise in Salesforce LLMs, prompt engineering, and integration with enterprise systems, as well as a strong understanding of trust, compliance, and automation strategies.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience with Salesforce Agentforce and conversational AI frameworks.
* Strong understanding of prompt engineering, reasoning engines, and orchestration layers
* Familiarity with observability tools and performance monitoring in AI systems
* Experience integrating with third-party platforms and internal data systems.
* Ability to interpret analytics and translate insights into actionable improvements.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering and product teams.
Key Success Criteria:
* Proven experience with Salesforce LLMs and prompt engineering.
* Hands-on expertise in Apex, APIs, and agent orchestration tools.
* Familiarity with secure data practices, compliance frameworks, and ethical AI principles.
* Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence cross-functional architecture decisions.
* Experience with test automation frameworks e.g. RAGAS, DeepEval and QE collaboration.
* Work with structured and unstructured data sources.
* Integrate and manage knowledge articles, knowledge graphs, and vector databases.
* Enable secure data retrieval and implement data masking and PII protection.
* Build and optimize execution flows, prompts, and agent actions using Apex and APIs.
* Utilize AgentBuilder and Prompt Builder to create scalable agent solutions.
* Collaborate on modeling strategies using Salesforce LLMs, foundation models, domain-specific models, and custom/owned LLMs.
* Deploy and manage LLMs on cloud platforms including Databricks and OpenAI.
Trust, Compliance & Security:
* Ensure practical compliance with regulations and internal policies.
* Implement and monitor toxicity scoring, bias detection, audit trails, and prompt defense mechanisms.
* Uphold ethics, security certifications, and MFA standards across agent systems.
* Work closely with Lead Engineers, Solution Architects, and Integration Architects.
* Influence non-functional requirements (NFRs) defined by Product, Platform, and Solution Architects.
* Influence solution architecture by contributing to TSDs and roadmap planning
* Contribute to QE enablement by designing test automation use cases aligned with an automation-first strategy.
Enablement & Lifecycle Management:
* Follow the Agentforce lifecycle: Ideate, Setup, Configure, Test, Deploy, Monitor
* Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and onboarding of new engineers
* Provide feedback and insights to continuously improve the Agentforce Implementation Guide
