The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Unit Head IG/HAE to lead our commercial operations in Spain as part of the Iberian Cluster Leadership Team. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving commercial excellence, delivering ambitious growth targets, and ensuring strong cross-functional alignment across the organization.
In this role, you will shape and execute commercial strategies, lead successful product launches, and build long-term partnerships with key stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem. As Business Unit Head IG/HAE Spain, you will be accountable for the overall commercial performance of the business unit. You will lead a high-performing team, oversee sales and marketing strategies, and ensure alignment with Iberian and global priorities.
You will report to the General Manager and serve as a key member of the Iberian Country Leadership Team, contributing to cluster strategy and organizational success.
The Role
* Drive sales performance across key brands, ensuring achievement of revenue, market share, and volume targets
* Own and manage the commercial P&L, ensuring strong financial performance through effective budgeting, cost control, and ROI optimization
* Lead annual budgeting and long-term planning (MTP) and monitor performance with proactive corrective actions
* Develop and execute the local commercial strategy across sales, marketing, key account management, pricing, and contracting
* Ensure excellence in product launches, including readiness, execution, and market uptake
* Contribute to global and regional brand planning processes
* Lead brand strategy and lifecycle management, including brands in Loss of Exclusivity (LoE)
* Drive market intelligence and competitor analysis to inform strategic decisions
* Identify risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate business threats
* Advance omnichannel maturity, ensuring optimal integration of digital and field activities
* Leverage innovative approaches to maximize customer engagement and experience
* Drive strong collaboration with Medical, Market Access, Regulatory, Legal, and Finance
* Ensure all commercial activities comply with legal, regulatory, and compliance standards
* Facilitate alignment across the Iberian cluster and with global teams
* Build, lead, and develop a high-performing commercial team
Your Skills and Experience
* Degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field
* Minimum 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
* Proven success in product launches at national or regional level
* Significant experience in sales and marketing leadership roles
* Demonstrated leadership and people management experience
* Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and P&L management
* Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
* Knowledge of the local regulatory and compliance environment
* Professional fluency in English (written and spoken)
* Willingness to travel 20-25%
* MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field
* Experience working in a Matrix organization
* Track record of achieving or maintaining market leadership positions
