Purpose of the Job
Ensure the proper execution of the Special Welding Process in the production workshop through monitoring and support for welders. Provide adequate training for current or new welders.
Main Responsibilities
* Support welders in their daily work and guarantee their follow-up.
* Provide welding training at the workplace.
* Ensure welders have the necessary technical and documentary means.
* Inform the Welding Coordinator of deviations and issues.
* Oversee welders' technical authority in welding tasks.
* Validate semiannual welders' qualifications reviews.
* Assist workshop managers with welding techniques.
* Participate in control of the first piece and monitor new welders' performance.
* Verify proper use of WPS, welding instructions, and materials.
* Perform equipment calibration and seek improvements in welding processes.
* Participate in the technical selection of new welding materials and equipment startup.
* Support quality inspections of welded components.
Welding Trainer Tasks
* Prepare training materials and ensure proper training and certification of welders.
* Ensure welders reach necessary operational conditions promptly.
* Provide basic training on welding failures, documentation, gases, materials, and safety.
* Keep training records updated.
* Be versatile in welding processes and materials.
* Assist in samples, validation, and testing for new welding procedures and equipment.
Required Competencies
* Educational background in professional school studies.
* Practical knowledge of welding per UNE EN ISO 14731 with minimum EWS certification.
* Experience in the welding sector.
* Teamwork, reactivity, and relational skills.
* Optional: English language skills.
