Why we need this role
This role will act as the commercial and operational backbone of the Infrastructure function. They will translate the Infrastructure Long Range Plan into measurable business outcomes, ensuring that investment, delivery, and operational execution are aligned to the priorities, financial discipline, and value realisation. This role owns the business management system for the Infrastructure team including planning, performance, governance, benefits tracking, and cross-functional efficiency.
What You Will Do
Business Planning & Financial Management
* Own the Infrastructure business plan, ensuring alignment to strategy and technology roadmap
* Develop and manage multi-year financial plans (Opex, Capex, investment cases)
* Create and maintain business cases for major programmes, tracking value from approval through to realisation
* Support prioritisation and trade-off decisions through financial and strategic analysis
Performance Management & KPIs
* Define and maintain the functions KPI framework
* Build performance dashboards and executive-level reporting
* Drive accountability for performance against targets
* Risk and compliance management
* Establish a formal benefits realisation framework across the programme initiatives
Cross-Functional Efficiency & Transformation
* Identify and lead efficiency and optimisation initiatives
* Build business cases for productivity and cost-reduction initiatives
* Map and optimise the Infrastructure teams value streams
* Identify bottlenecks, hand-offs and waste
* Define target operating models and measurable process improvements
What We’re Looking For
* Strong commercial and financial acumen
* Expert in building and tracking business cases and benefits
* Comfortable operating at executive and board level
* Proven experience in a digital infrastructure business and operating environment
* Prior management consulting background would be advantageous
