PbMechanical Engineer Mechanical Design Engineer (ME/MDE) /b /ppbr/ppbAbout the Role: /b /ppWe are looking for a Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer to join an innovative bautomotive project /b, leading and executing the complete mechanical development process—from architecture definition and requirements analysis to final design release. /ppbr/ppThe role ensures technical quality, industrial feasibility, and compliance with project timing and cost targets while collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams. /ppThis position combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering work, covering CAD design, stack-up definition, documentation, simulations, and product release. /ppbr/ppbKey Responsibilities: /b /ppbr/ppbRequirements Management /b /pulliDefine and analyze mechanical requirements and lead clarification discussions with stakeholders. /liliImplement customer and internal mechanical requirements before each Design Freeze. /liliSelect appropriate components and materials according to project requirements. /liliIdentify systemic issues and escalate technical risks to the relevant engineering leadership. /li /ulpbr/ppbMechanical Design Implementation /b /pulliDevelop designs according to mechanical requirements, standards, and internal design guidelines. /liliOwn and manage the Mechanical Bill of Materials (BOM). /liliDeliver mechanical design outputs including CAD models, drawings, simulations, and documentation on time. /liliPerform engineering analyses such as FEA, thermal simulations, sensitivity analysis, Monte Carlo analysis, gap analysis, and clearance/creepage analysis. /liliProvide mechanical and thermal input to hardware and PCB design teams. /liliLead Mechanical Concept Reviews and participate in Technical Design Reviews. /liliDrive cost optimization and Design-to-Cost initiatives. /liliMaintain technical collaboration with key suppliers and solution architects. /liliSupport System DFMEA and cross-functional engineering activities. /liliConduct feasibility studies, design investigations, and technical evaluations. /liliPrepare and approve drawings and engineering documentation for manufacturing release. /liliParticipate in supplier workshops, benchmarking activities, and CAD library improvements. /liliContribute to continuous improvement of design guidelines and engineering processes. /li /ulpbr/ppbChange Management Product Release /b /pulliSupport gate reviews and product release activities. /liliIdentify and manage open technical issues. /liliParticipate in defect analysis and problem management activities. /liliSupport engineering change management processes (CR, CN, SCR, PCR). /li /ulpbr/ppbVerification Validation: /b /pulliVerify mechanical requirements and support validation activities. /liliCollaborate with laboratories for DV/PV testing. /liliReview test reports and initial samples. /liliDefine and follow corrective actions for detected failures. /li /ulpbr/ppbKnowledge Management: /b /pulliAct as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in specific mechanical domains. /liliContribute to knowledge capture, documentation, and best practices within the engineering team. /li /ulpbr/ppbTechnical Competencies: /b /pulliMechanical design and CAD tools (CATIA, NX or similar) /liliMechanical stack-up design and tolerance analysis /liliMaterials science and thermodynamics /liliCFD and FEA simulations /liliPrototyping and mechanical testing /liliAnalytical engineering methods (sensitivity analysis, Monte Carlo) /liliClearance and insulation analysis /liliAutomotive development standards and processes (Automotive SPICE, ISO, IATF, APQP/PPAP) /liliRequirements management tools (DOORS) /liliChange management tools (ALM/SEM) /liliConfiguration management (SVN or similar) /liliCost estimation and lean engineering principles /liliTechnical documentation and drawing standards (DXF, engineering documentation) /liliPPAP documentation review and component approval /li /ulpbr/ppbSoft Skills /b /pulliStrong analytical and problem-solving skills /liliCritical thinking and engineering judgement /liliAdaptability and flexibility in dynamic environments /liliEffective communication and teamwork /liliTime management and prioritization /liliNegotiation and conflict resolution /liliEmotional intelligence /liliInnovation and continuous improvement mindset /li /ulpbr/ppbWhy K-LAGAN? /b /ppbr/ppAt K-LAGAN, we want you to enjoy the full experience of being part of our team.
