Business Analyst – Application Development
POSITION SUMMARY :
This role is responsible for technical development and / or functional support for one or more eTrace modules for all Advanced Energy sites. eTrace is the Warehouse and Shopfloor execution system for the EP factories which will be rolled out to other sites and future acquisitions if any.
This role will take ownership of technical development and / or functional support of other applications, with the purpose to support manufacturing activities and fulfill business requirements.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
* Development and Support for eTrace (SOX)
* Working closely with business users and stakeholders to understand business requirements and propose technical solutions to project managers.
* Planning and documenting functional requirements for features and system design.
* Designing, building, and configuring new function modules in eTrace to meet business process and application requirements.
* Work with other team members in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of applications.
* Provide sustaining support to eTrace with enhancement releases and data maintenance adhering to IT Change Management Processes.
* Standardization and rollout of eTrace and other related applications to other sites.
* Ensure standardization of the eTrace solution across all AE factories. Roll out newly developed modules to new manufacturing sites as appropriate.
* Work with project managers to perform functional and / or technical assessments of rolling out eTrace to other AP facilities.
* Prepare an execution plan and ensure a seamless go-live as per the plan with minimal impact to operations, as well as a contingency plan to handle any possible exceptions.
* Coach local application support teams to get familiar with eTrace technical details, ensuring timely and effective support after eTrace rollout.
* Conduct user training, User Acceptance Testing, test scripts, follow-ups on tasks and deliverables, understand the process, and work on system improvements based on issues encountered in the production line, user feedback, or personal assessments.
* Team coaching and mentoring if needed.
* Mentor junior team members and ensure they adhere to determined software quality standards.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment (telephone, PC, copier, fax machine, etc.).

EXPERIENCE :
Minimum of three years of experience in Business Systems (WMS, MES) development and / or support is required.
Experience in development and support of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
EDUCATION :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems majoring in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent education.
Education / knowledge of WMS (warehouse management system), MES (manufacturing execution system), and ERP (Enterprise resource planning) systems.
