Role OverviewThe Head of Product – Spain will play a key strategic role in defining and executing the product roadmap across all categories within the Spanish market. This role will lead the local Product Team and work closely with the Marketing Director, Sales, Central Product Management, and other key stakeholders to increase market share, drive profitability, and ensure efficient product lifecycle management.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning:
Partner with the Marketing Director to define product strategies and annual plans across all categories, aligned with regional business objectives and market share growth.Product Portfolio Management:
Lead cross-functional collaboration with Sales and Marketing to define the optimal product mix, supporting both volume and value growth.Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor the local Product Specialist team, ensuring strong coordination with the Central Product Management team for the execution of category strategies, NPI (New Product Introduction), and stock optimisation.Category Ownership:
Take full ownership of a dedicated product category, driving strategic execution and operational efficiency across systems and processes — with best practices to be applied across all categories.Product Lifecycle Management:
Oversee the full lifecycle of new and existing models, ensuring smooth introductions and timely phase-outs in collaboration with Supply Chain, HQ, and local departments.Profitability & Cost Efficiency:
Monitor category performance and work with HQ teams on initiatives to improve profitability via cost optimisation and strategic NPI.Market & Competitive Analysis:
Conduct ongoing market research and competitive benchmarking — including price positioning, product features, design trends, and retail placement — via direct dealer interaction and channel analysis.Product Communication & Go-to-Market:
Deliver compelling product and marketing presentations to dealers and internal stakeholders. Ensure high-quality promotional and digital content is developed in alignment with Iberia Marketing.Pricing & Positioning Strategy:
Clarify product range positioning and define pricing strategies based on thorough market mapping, competitor intelligence, and retail pricing research (online and in-store).Systems & Data Management:
Manage product data updates in internal systems (e.G., SAP, Teamcenter) and ensure clear internal communication on product changes and availability.Cross-Functional Coordination:
Collaborate with production plants and Central Product teams to ensure project timelines for new products are met.Dealer Support:
Act as a point of contact for product-related queries and support dealers with relevant materials by aligning with local marketing (brand, digital, trade).
Key Skills & QualificationsNative Spanish speaker with fluent EnglishMinimum 3 years of experience in Product Management within the Home Appliances industry (manufacturer, distributor, or retail side)Strong product and technical knowledge, with a deep understanding of market and dealer dynamicsExcellent analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skillsProficiency in MS Office and digital tools relevant to product managementStrong leadership and project management abilitiesCustomer-centric mindset and commercial awarenessProactive, agile, and solutions-orientedEffective communicator with excellent collaboration and cross-functional skillsDemonstrated experience in market research, segmentation, and digital channels
