About the role:
As a Solution Architect, you are responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of complex software solutions within SD Worx. You work with stakeholders including developers, product owners, delivery leads, business users, and SD Worx leadership to identify project requirements and constraints, developing, documenting, and aligning comprehensive plans to achieve desired outcomes. You ensure that the architecture of solutions is scalable, maintainable, extensible, secure, and aligned with business needs. You also provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
We seek a candidate with an independent, proactive, and structured working attitude, trusted by leadership and R&D teams. You understand the need to balance conflicting interests such as desirability, feasibility, cost, sustainability, maintainability, extendibility, and technical consistency, and you lead this balancing act.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and implement complex software systems and solutions that meet business needs
2. Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure systems meet requirements
3. Work within Lead to Cash programs involving SAP S/4, CPQ, Salesforce, PSA technology (e.g., Kantata)
4. Ensure systems are scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable
5. Develop technical specifications and design documents
6. Establish and maintain an architectural repository for design information
7. Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, fostering autonomy
8. Manage workload, define scope, and set clear expectations with internal customers
Educational / Skill / Experience Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
2. Experience in software engineering and solution architecture, with broad IT knowledge and application integration skills
3. 3-5 years of experience in Lead to Cash solutions, with at least 3 years in solution architecture
4. Knowledge of financial processes and systems (e.g., accounting, billing, invoicing)
5. Knowledge of SAP S/4, Salesforce, CPQ, PSA technologies is a plus
6. Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
7. Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
8. Eagerness to learn SD Worx’s business processes and value chain
9. Ability to guide peers and stakeholders, balancing strategic and practical considerations
10. Experience working across multiple projects with varied stakeholders
11. Adaptability to changing technologies and requirements
12. Fluent English; willingness to travel occasionally
13. Knowledge of internal business processes and data governance is a plus
