Akkar is working with a leading e-mobility company to appoint a Senior Hardware Electronics Engineer.
You’ll play a key role in developing cutting-edge PCBAs and electronics that meet the highest standards of performance, quality, and compliance for mass production.
Key Responsibilities
* Translate high-level product and system requirements into robust electronic architectures and PCBAs for innovative EV platforms or related hardware.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, firmware, software, and testing teams to deliver high-performance solutions on time and within cost targets.
* Own the full lifecycle of electronic board development—from concept, schematic design, and component selection to production-ready hardware.
* Lead hardware bring-up, validation, debugging, and optimization activities.
* Oversee regulatory compliance, validation, and homologation of electronic systems.
* Support manufacturing transition, test planning, and end-of-line validation.
* Assist with hands-on testing, vehicle integration, and company-wide electronics support needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
* Strong analytical mindset and hands-on problem-solving skills.
* Proven ability to work both independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
* Comfortable in fast-moving, high-tech environments (e.g., startups or R&D-heavy companies).
* Strong attention to detail with a drive for high-quality, reliable products.
* Excellent communication skills; fluent English required.
Experience Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years in developing and launching complex electronics products.
* Deep expertise in analog and digital circuit design across multi-layer PCBs.
* Familiar with high-density layouts, double-sided boards, and system-level integration.
* Experience with multi-PCB systems architecture, ideally in a vehicle or device setting.
* Strong understanding of testing methodologies and failure analysis.
* Hands-on proficiency with oscilloscopes, soldering, multimeters, etc.
* Familiar with compliance design (EMC, RED) and high-volume manufacturing.
* Experience with communication protocols like CANbus, SPI, I2C, and Bluetooth 5.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
* Direct experience in Battery Management Systems (BMS), ECUs/VCUs, or power electronics.
* Confidence in embedded firmware development.
* Background in microelectronics or MEMS devices.
* Familiarity with business and product development principles.
* Involvement in Formula SAE, student engineering teams, or similar.
