GEA provides customized process solutions for the dairy, beverage, and food industries, as well as the chemical sector. Particularly in the field of New Food, we develop comprehensive process technologies from the laboratory phase to industrial production to ensure innovative food products. Our services include the design, construction, configuration, and installation of versatile and efficient equipment, technologies, processing lines, and complete plants.
To support our continued growth, we are looking for a Business Developer New Food to join our team in Alcobendas as soon as possible.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Sales Development: Expand market share through lead generation and increasing conversion rates, supported by CRM-based monitoring.
2. Market Analysis & Expansion: Successfully enter new and emerging markets.
3. Sales Activity Management: Prepare comprehensive performance reports with actionable insights for global sales meetings.
4. Implementation & Optimization of Sales Strategies: Continuously develop and refine existing processes.
5. Key Account & Partner Relationship Management: Build and strengthen relationships with key customers and partners.
6. Cross-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams such as the Center of Competence, Application Management, Project Management, and Service.
7. Customer Consultation & Solution Development: Advise customers throughout the proposal process and develop innovative solutions tailored to specific requirements.
Your Profile / Qualifications
8. Master's degree (MSc or higher) in Biotechnology, Process Engineering, or a comparable field.
9. At least five years of experience in a similar role within the engineering sector; experience in the food industry is a plus.
10. Deep understanding of end-to-end (E2E) processes and market knowledge in cell-based fermentation and precision fermentation.
11. Strong strategic thinking combined with a structured working style.
12. Proven expertise in project management, communication, and negotiation.
13. Fluent English skills (spoken and written). A second language is a plus.
14. Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders across different disciplines.
